The latest member of staff to join the SCQF Partnership team is Lauren Fox, our new Administrative Assistant who is undertaking a Modern Apprenticeship. Here’s an insight into Lauren’s background and a little about what she will be doing to support the SCQFP.
Tell us a bit about your career to date
I am starting as a modern apprentice to gain 2 years’ experience in Business and Administration in a working environment. I have just left school and my aim is to continue to progress and develop my business skills as I found that, within school subjects, business was one of my strengths.
What is your role within SCQFP?
My role in SCQFP is to act in conjunction with Amy through Administration tasks and to participate in everyday business activities. My role is also to work with the SCQFP’s partners nationally and internationally and to act as a front-of-house figure for the organisation by helping or passing on any enquiries that the public or partners may have regarding the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework.
Tell us something interesting about yourself
When I was little girl and a bit older, I really wanted to become either an on screen actress or a Broadway actress. I have been to four different theatre schools as well as going to clubs in gymnastics and dancing for 4 years. However this year I am looking forward to going on a pursuit to find and develop a career path fitting for me, which I feel this apprenticeship will allow me to do and lead me to 🙂
