REAL_LOGO_CMYKThe Recognition of Experiential & Accredited Learning Project (REAL project) focuses on enabling adult educators whose skills, knowledge and competence has been gained through practice experience and in-service training rather than through a formal qualification process to have this learning recognised and validated.

We at the SCQF Partnership are working in collaboration with University of Stirling, Tallinn University, University of Limerick, Romanian Institute for Adult Education and Learning Link Scotland.

The REAL project key development is a toolkit which can be used to enable adult educators to benchmark their own experience against their national framework. This method of accrediting experiential learning will start to make a change to the power relationships which usually favour the receiving institutions and awarding bodies and tend to work against both the applicant and the whole ethos of RPL.
