Late last year we signed up to the Social Impact Pledge, a Scottish Government initiative aimed at increasing the social impact of public sector organisations across Scotland. As part of the initiative, we promised the use of our boardroom free to small local community groups, and today we welcomed the first organisation to take advantage of this offer. SITE (Supported Integration Training and Employment) is a Scottish charity and Disabled Persons User Led Organisation (DPULO) whose mission is to remove barriers, create solutions and expand possibilities so that people with sight loss can achieve their full potential.
We really enjoyed meeting the group and were very impressed with the fantastic behaviour displayed by the three amazing guide dogs who accompanied their owners!
We would be keen to hear from other small charities looking to have access to a meeting room, so please get in touch with us if you think we could help.
Through the Pledge we also offer our SCQF School Ambassadors the opportunity for work placements or mentoring here at the SCQF Partnership, so would encourage any Ambassador schools interested to contact us – first come, first served!
