What is your role within the SCQFP?
I am the Lead for Learning Pathways at the SCQF Partnership. My work centres around engaging with schools through our School Ambassador programme and supporting the use of SCQF within Community Learning & Development. I work closely with a range of other partners in education to support the use of the SCQF and create a better understanding for all learners. I also deliver the My Skills, My Future workshops.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
The variety! I support schools across the country to engage with our Ambassador programme, help parents and pupils understand the SCQF and encourage schools to explore the range of programmes on the Framework. Every school I work with is unique and it’s great to meet lots of passionate and enthusiastic staff throughout the day.
Career so far
With a lifelong passion for sport, I’ve worked in a couple of roles in local authorities in sport services and Active Schools’ teams. I spent three years living in Germany teaching PE at an International school. I’ve always had an interest in helping learners to progress and develop new skills and I joined the SCQF Partnership in 2019.
