What is your role within the SCQFP?
As a Project Intern, I work with Donnie Wood, Lead for Learning Pathways, on the School Ambassador (SA) and SA Recognition Programmes.
What do you look forward to achieving in your role?
I look forward to helping teachers, parents and carers better understand learning pathways that pupils can choose during their school years through the SCQF. Essentially, I value the potential positive impact of widening the participation of young people beyond the traditional school curriculum.
Career so far
I have academic qualifications equivalent to SCQF levels 10 and 11 in the field of secondary and higher education from Kazakhstan. I have then worked with public libraries monitoring and evaluating learning programmes there which inspired me to pursue a Master’s degree in Adult Education for Social Change at the University of Glasgow (which I have completed in August). During my studies in Glasgow and before joining the SCQFP, I worked part-time with Generations Working Together evaluating the impact of their intergenerational training courses across Scotland and internationally.
