What is your role within the SCQFP?
I am a Quality Officer, supporting the quality assurance processes that help maintain the integrity and high standards of Scotland’s national qualifications framework.
What do you look forward to achieving in your role?
I’m excited to be part of the newly formed Assurance Team, where I’ll provide support and guidance to colleagues across the organisation to ensure consistent and effective quality assurance practices. My goal is to help enhance confidence in the SCQF – both nationally and internationally – by ensuring that our quality systems are robust and reliable.
Career so far
I hold academic qualifications equivalent to SCQF Levels 10 and 11 in secondary and higher education from Kazakhstan. My early career involved working in public libraries, where I monitored and evaluated learning programmes – an experience that inspired me to pursue a Master’s degree in Adult Education for Social Change at the University of Glasgow. Learning and helping people learn have always been important to me.
In my previous role, as a Project Assistant at the SCQFP, I supported schools in promoting the SCQF and raising awareness of a wide range of programmes by developing learning resources and organising networking events for teachers and pupils.
