This guide is designed to signpost users to a range of information relevant to their needs or interests in RPL. It aims to highlight in straightforward language the different ways in which RPL can be used by learners and by those providing an RPL service.

Some learners might be aiming to undertake learning at college or university or as part of workplace learning and might therefore be seeking SCQF credit.  Others might want to map their skills and learning gained through experience as part of their personal development or for career planning.  Whatever the reason for embarking on the RPL process, this on-line guide can be used by a wide range or learners and organisations to help them through the process.
