Meet Fiona, Development Officer
Tell us a bit about your career to date
I have spent the most part of my life working in the Higher Education sector in a variety of different roles. I started in Finance as a Credit Controller and gained my degree on a part time basis. I was one of the first ever students who used the Credit Accumulation and Transfer Scheme and was awarded 75 SCQF level 7 points from my HND in Accounting towards my degree.
Upon completion of my degree I was quickly promoted to Student Services as a Student Adviser and then on to become an Education Adviser offering support and guidance to learners on our degree pathways. Over the last year I worked closely with colleagues in supporting the Learner Journey working in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
What is your role within the SCQFP?
As a Development Officer within the SCQF Partnership my primary role is to deliver the SCQF workshops aimed to promote and widen knowledge and understanding of the Framework. I will also be rolling out the College Ambassadors programme and maintaining the RPL database.
Tell us something interesting about yourself
I have been a lifelong Prince fan and have been to see him in concert at least 7 times! Twice on the one night in London. I then almost travelled alone to London for the final concert in the 21 night tour in 2010 and was lucky enough to see him in his last concert.
