In December 2018 the SCQF Partnership held a focus group to look at the online Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL tool) with a view to making it more user-friendly. Delegates from Credit Rating Bodies, Colleges, Universities, College Development Network and NHS Education took part in the review.
The tool has now been updated to make it more user-friendly and easier to navigate. The language has been simplified and the options have been streamlined.
The tool offers guidance and further reference points to learners who are looking to have their prior learning recognised to raise self-esteem, build a CV or progress on their learner journey.
The tool also offers guidance to employers and educators who are looking to support an employee or learner through the RPL process.
