The Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) is Scotland’s internationally renowned lifelong learning framework helping people of all ages and circumstances understand qualifications and achieve their full potential.

The SCQF Partnership is a small professional team with a national remit. This means that our roles provide individuals with real challenge and opportunity.

The Role:

Fixed term: November 2021 – September 2022 (Maternity cover) 18 hours per week

Salary £28,870 per annum pro rata

We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and self- motivated individual to join us on a fixed term contract. The post-holder will provide a full financial management service including dealing with all invoices and payments through Sage and online banking, preparing monthly and quarterly reports (for Committee and Board), dealing with bank reconciliations, posting to nominal ledger, prepayments and accruals and, providing support and information for annual audit. This post reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer as Chief Accounting Officer.

Would suit an individual with experience or qualifications to SCQF level 7.

Person specification:

The post-holder will:

  • pay attention to detail and possess a methodical and focused approach to work
  • be a team player, flexible and self motivated
  • uphold the highest ethical standards
  • demonstrate a customer orientated approach
  • be competent in telephone, electronic, written and oral communication
  • be fully competent in using Sage financial packages and Microsoft Office particularly Excel and Word
  • have substantial experience in double-entry bookkeeping
  • have solid finance experience and experience of budgeting
  • have strong reconciliation skills and be comfortable calculating and posting accounts and figures
  • have experience in accounts to Trial Balance level
