D’Ahoy is a 3 year Erasmus+ funded project that aims to investigate innovative educational ideas around Decision Making, with a view to developing a Decision Skills Framework that can be integrated into Higher Education and Vocational Education & Training. Over a 3 year period from September 2017 until August 2020, the project will examine EU strategies on decision making, scientific and educational literature and a variety of other sources to help in developing a training model for Decision Skills and Competences including innovative Teaching and Learning resources.
The SCQFP will contribute to the project by working with partners to define Decision Skills Learning Outcomes for HE and VET learners and aligning decision making skills in uncertain and complex situations to national qualifications framework levels.
The project will also use the SCQF Level Descriptors and the SCQF Employer Levelling Tool as well as other resources as a basis for the development of “person specifications” in relation to D’Ahoy target groups.
The project’s name is a reference to Alexander Grahame Bell, the Scottish scientist who patented the first telephone and originally suggested ‘Ahoy’ as the standard greeting when answering a call.
