Target audience: employers who are looking to recognise the learning that employees have gained through life, work and educational experiences.
Having the ability to acknowledge employees prior learning can then help identify how to recruit more effectively, retain and promote staff by creating learning and development strategies through the use of in house or external training.
The workshop will cover the basic facts about the SCQF including the breadth of programmes that are recognised on the framework. We will focus on how your organisation can design an RPL policy to meet the needs of your business with a mind to recruiting and retaining suitable staff who will feel valued and rewarded for the contribution they make in your organisation.
Key themes addressed over the morning:
• The SCQF basics
• Types of RPL
• Core principles of RPL
• Assessment of RPL
• Developing an RPL policy in your organisation
• Uses of RPL as an employer
• Alternative SCQF qualifications
