An Introduction to Recognition of Prior Learning workshop

SCQF Development Officer, Fiona Garry introduces the Introduction to Recognition of Prior Learning workshop and details the benefits of attending.

A great workshop which describes the different types of RPL and with practical application using cases that demonstrate how it works! Very informative!

AM Rennie, NES

Very informative and enjoyable session with an interesting cross section of agencies represented. Ideal opportunity to share learning.

Fiona Kennedy, University of the West of Scotland

The facilitators were hands on. The collaboration between the two of them emphasised team work which is required in recognition of prior learning in any organisation that seeks to achieve this.

Thelma Okey-Adibe

A worthwhile training course for anybody interested in understanding RPL and its uses in work, education and society as a whole.

Paul Allford, CITB

This session was pitched perfectly and met my expectations.

Katrina McDonald, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service

A great bite-sized introduction to RPL, just what I needed to decide to take this forward further.

Grant Thoms, Stirling City Radio

A very useful session which explored some of the key issues around RPL with similar organisations, and how RPL can be applied in different scenarios using the SCQF as a vehicle.

Martin Patterson, Scottish Police College

RPL learning for Employers is skilfully facilitated to help you explore the lifelong learning opportunities for your staff. This will help staff feel valued, motivated and engaged in their work
