Meet Marissa Lippiatt, Head of Development and Engagement

What is your role within the SCQFP?

I am the Head of Development and Engagement at the SCQFP.

What do you look forward to achieving in your role?

I look forward to increasing awareness and understanding of the SCQF and raising the profile of the SCQF Partnership. I’d like everyone in Scotland to know that the SCQF is their national qualifications framework and understand its value.

Tell us a bit about your career to date?

My career to date has been crafted by the various roles I’ve taken in the private, public and third sectors. I’ve been lucky enough to spend time working overseas too. Along the way I’ve taken career breaks to go travelling or to study and change direction. The sectors in which I’ve worked and grown my skills include sales, inward investment, innovation policy, resource efficiency & circular economy and skills development.

Tell us something interesting about yourself

Hmmm ... I’ve blended my own whisky at a well-known distillery, but let’s just say I won’t be putting any master blenders out of business anytime soon.
