“Our vision is to work with our partners and stakeholders to ensure the SCQF is seen both nationally and internationally as a symbol of quality and underpins the development of a robust education and skills system in Scotland that is fit for the 21st century”.
SCQF Partnership Strategic Plan 2022-25
The SCQF is Scotland’s National Qualifications Framework and over the 22 years since its inception has developed, grown, and adapted to the changing educational and skills landscape in Scotland.
We are seeking a new Independent Chair to succeed our retiring Chair Rob Wallen in leading the SCQF Partnership Board and its strategic direction during an exciting period for education and skills reform.
As Scotland’s framework for lifelong learning, the SCQF encompasses over 11,500 assessed learning programmes or qualifications, underpinned by robust quality assurance processes.
We are looking for an experienced strategic leader, who shares our ambition for the reach of the SCQF in supporting wider learner pathways, has an excellent understanding of board governance, and will act as advocate and ambassador for the SCQF Partnership in its external relations.
Further details on the role can be found here. If you would like to discuss the role in further detail with the current Chair or Chief Executive please contact Pauline Radcliffe, CEO on p.radcliffe@scqf.org.uk
To apply, please provide a tailored CV and covering letter/supporting statement explaining why you are interested in this opportunity, what you would offer the role and clearly demonstrating your understanding of the purpose of the SCQF and the Partnership’s priorities.
