Meet Beverly Wallace, Senior Administrative Officer at the SCQF Partnership

Beverly Wallace

What is your role within the SCQFP?

As Senior Administrative Officer, my role is an office management role, ensuring the office runs smoothly, undertaking secretariat duties and providing administrative support to the whole team. I manage our administrator and together we help support events and workshops and ensure our staff and stakeholders have all the tools and materials they need. I also oversee our CRM system and other IT systems.

What do you enjoy most about your role?

Providing admin support for the whole team means no two days are the same which keeps my role varied and interesting. Working for a small organisation allows you to be involved in a wide range of business activities and decisions, something you would not get in a larger organisation. We have a really good, inclusive culture and a very committed and hard-working team.

Tell us a bit about your career to date

I’ve been working in administration for 18 years and have now been with the Partnership for over 3 years. A large part of my career was spent at Glasgow Caledonian University where I worked as an Administrator for the Global Recruitment Office, providing administrative support to the team, managing the day to day running of the office and assisting with the implementation of a new CRM system.

I have also worked as a Marketing Assistant/Administrator at a publishing/events company in Glasgow where I learned all about databases and CRM systems and was lucky enough to live in the seaside town of Brighton where I worked in the Marketing Department of the local newspaper.

Tell us something interesting about yourself

My arch nemesis is the squirrel that lives in my garden. It’s a daily battle and one that I normally lose.
