SCQF Partnership Consultant Required for Veterans Project
The SCQF Partnership is seeking a consultant to join our project team in the development of a skills profiling tool specifically for service leavers that supports them in understanding the skills they have gained in the military (including the benchmarking of any formal qualifications gained to the SCQF) and how these skills translate into language easily understood by civilian employers/institutions in order to gain a job or move into further learning.

Larbert High School Going for Gold!
Larbert High School has been confirmed as the very first Gold level SCQF School Ambassador. Launched in 2015, the School Ambassador programme offers secondary schools the opportunity to learn more about the benefits of the SCQF and the wider ways in which it supports learners such as recognising wider achievement, developing Senior Phase learning pathways and demonstrating equality between vocational and academic qualifications.
Veterans to set their sights on recognition
A unique project to profile and recognise the skills of veterans will launch next month. The SCQF Partnership (SCQFP) will work with colleagues at Skills Development Scotland (SDS) and the Ministry of Defence (MoD) to develop an online skills profiling tool specifically for service leavers, to support them in understanding the skills they have gained in the military.

SCQF Week, a free online event running between 15-19 March, intends to showcase best practice in use of the SCQF across a range of sectors, as well as raise awareness of the SCQFP’s latest projects and developments amongst partners and stakeholders. Register now to secure your place!
ASET BECOMES AN SCQFP APPROVED CREDIT RATING BODY
ASET International Oil & Gas Training Academy has achieved the status of becoming an approved Credit Rating Body (CRB) through the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) Partnership. This allows the organisation to make decisions about the SCQF level and SCQF credit points allocated to qualifications developed to train staff in the oil and gas sector.
