SCQF Partnership welcomes delegation from Jordan
The SCQF Partnership welcomed a delegation from the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions (AQACHEI) Jordan.
AQACHEI are responsible for the accreditation and quality assurance of all universities in Jordan and additionally have the remit of managing the implementation of the Jordanian National Qualification Framework.
During the visit, the group learned about the background and history of the SCQF, its place within the Scottish education system, and the values and mission of the SCQF Partnership.
The contingent was told about credit rating and quality assurance for the SCQF, including the allocation of SCQF credits and levels, and why employers choose to have their programmes credit rated. They were also given an overview of RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) and the Scottish RPL landscape. The presentations were made by SCQFP Chief Executive Pauline Radcliffe and Heads of Service, Sheila Dunn and Julie Cavanagh.
