NHSScotland staff to benefit from RPL
NHSScotland is to benefit from an innovative project led by NHS Education for Scotland (NES) in collaboration with the SCQF Partnership. The Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Guiding Principles were developed to help NHS Scotland employees get recognition for learning from experience which occurs in the workplace, and learning from experience in life, to support career development.
British Army Infantry soldiers’ skills mapped to the SCQF
Infantry soldiers across the UK and those who settle in Scotland will be able to more easily match their military training qualifications to employers’ needs and study requirements in Scotland, thanks to a new resource launched by Veterans’ Minister Graeme Dey.
SCQF recognition for Aegon company induction programme
On 25 July, Aegon employees were recognised for completing the Digital Solution Platform Induction Programme and received the Aegon certificate of Professional Practice in Platform Operations. The event was attended by representatives from Aegis the Union and the SCQF Partnership.
Update of the Referencing of the SCQF to the EQF
The SCQFP has published a report which updates the referencing of the SCQF to the European Qualifications Framework (EQF). This report sets out the evidence that the SCQF continues to meet the ten criteria and ten quality assurance principles which govern referencing to the EQF.
Mongolian Study Visit
We recently hosted a delegation of 12 members of staff from a project team representing Mongolia’s Technical and Vocational Education and Training Sector. The main aim of the visit was for the delegation to learn about the SCQF and how it relates to technical and vocational education and training in Scotland.
